About AAL

About the Animal Allies League

Teaching kids to be heroes for animals — one story, one lesson, one adventure at a time.

Our Mission

The Animal Allies League (AAL) exists to nurture a generation of kids who understand, respect, and advocate for animals and the natural world. We believe that when children learn to read an animal’s body language, understand an ecosystem, or care for a creature in need — they’re also learning empathy, emotional regulation, and scientific thinking.

AAL Universe is an educational platform designed primarily for homeschool families and children ages 3–14. Our content spans books, printable activities, lesson plans, and digital resources — all organized into four core content pillars: Dog Allies Lab, Wild Allies, Story Adventures, and Rescue Ready.

What Makes Us Different

Science-Grounded

Every lesson is rooted in real animal behavior science, ecology, and child development research — not cute myths.

Trauma-Informed

Our content is designed with nervous-system awareness. We meet kids where they are emotionally and never use fear or shame.

Story-Driven

Learning happens through characters kids love. Meet Ellie and friends — they make complex topics accessible and fun.

Who We Serve

AAL Universe is built for homeschool families, classrooms, co-ops, nature groups, and any family that wants their kids to grow up with compassion for animals and confidence in themselves. Our primary audience is children ages 3–14, with dedicated resources for the parents and educators guiding them.
